Monica is the proud owner of Gymboree Play & Music East Dulwich since February 2020.

I have worked with children and their family for most of my life.
I have always interested and fascinated about children's learning and development; when I became a mum myself, that I realised my future involved children.
I then graduated as Early Years Educator in 2017.

Since taking over the Gymboree East Dulwich, I have been enjoying every minute of it and along with my wonderful team we are very excited to keep on growing the business.

We welcome members old and new to our Gymboree Play & Music family.

I love going to Gymboree. My daughter loves it. The staff are always so lovely. It's very conveniently located. The only reason I only attend occasionally is because I feel guilty spending so much money on a single session. It is SO EXPENSIVE. £9 to sit in a room with my toddler for 45 mins?! £17.50 for a 45 min class is WILD. I really would love management to look at the prices of classes/sessions at places like apple tree (£8 a session for an hour and a half), whipppersnappers (£11 for a music class, £12.50 for messy play) Margaret's Music prices start from £5.62... etc.
I would love to know if Gymboree would ever be able to come down on their prices and why they are as high as they are? In my opinion it should be £6 for open gym and £12.50 for a class - I think that would be reasonable.
I think they would get a much higher rate of attendance if they did :)
Thanks, and again we do love coming just wish it was a little cheaper . Laura xx

Lovely engaging classes, however I find the teachers raise their voices far more than needed, essentially shouting the songs and instructions. It is overwhelming for the adults and I think the children also. I think the kids would listen better if the teachers spoke more quietly. Otherwise a lovely and energetic experience for the kids.

Fantastic staff and a beautiful place for your children to grow in confidence, make friends and learn!

My daughter and I have absolutely loved the gymboree classes. We have been to the crawler classes and now the walker classes and they have both been brilliant! The open gym is also a good space to enjoy without a teacher.

Refunds and Cancellations

Unfortunately due to Gymboree policy we can't offer refunds for online purchases, PAYG classes, open gym and special event. However we are more than happy to reschedule a class/open gym within 30 days of the original purchase.

Where can I find your timetable?

On our website under local news, you will be able to see our latest timetable.

Do adults participate in the classes or are they spectators

Adult Participation Parent-child interaction is the cornerstone of the Gymboree Play & Music programme, therefore please remember to: Listen to the class teacher for instructions. Encourage your child to join in with songs and dances and all other activities. Model the activities for your child.

If my toddler is enrolled in a class can I bring my baby along also?

Younger siblings must be in a carrier pouch/sling. This is so you can leave your arms free, keeping your older child safe, and allowing you to participate in the class. Older siblings cannot attend class with a younger sibling.

What are open gyms and how do they work?

45 minutes free play on our set up and access to our stripey bag props, with fun music and Gymboree friends. No teacher present in the room so grown-ups must stay and supervise their little ones during the session. Open gym is walk in only so no booking is required and only 13 children and 13 adults are allowed into the playroom at one time so if the playroom is full you would need to wait until a space becomes available.
• PAYG Open gym session (45mins)- £9 per session

What do I need to bring with me?

• Grown-ups, please remember to bring a pair of socks with you to wear on the play floor. In the summer months we recommend keeping socks in your bag/buggy just in case you come in wearing sandals etc... or you can purchase socks from us for £1.
• We only provide changing table and wet wipes so you will need to bring your own nappies and spare clothes just in case.

How does membership work?

On a monthly basis and we do have flexible fun pass and pay as you go options, please email us for more information.

How do Fun Passes work?

This is a more flexible option, it’s a one-off purchase of a set number of classes or open gym sessions and it has 3 months validity from the date of purchase, please enquire for options.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Cannot recommend Gymboree Play & Music Watford enough--truly THE BEST! ❤️🙌 What makes it so special are the amazing teachers/staff, especially Amber, Jack, Philippa, and Hannah! They’re not only incredibly talented in music and arts, but they’re also absolutely fantastic with kids of all ages.

My little girl was only 18 months old when we first discovered this wonderful place and started attending sessions. She’s now 5 years old, and we’re still here! That says it all 🥰

I genuinely believe that so many of my daughter’s milestones have been reached early because of the time she spends here. She was talking, walking, climbing, and exploring ahead of her peers, and I credit so much of that to the incredible environment and activities here. The space itself is wonderful — safe, clean, and full of opportunities for little ones to run, jump, climb, and burn off energy without any worries. But for me, Gymboree has been just as important as it has been for my daughter, especially as a mum without a village. ...What I didn’t realise was how much I would gain. I’ve made lifelong friendships and found a support network of the most incredible people.
