Toddler Classes

Gymboree Play & Music’s toddler classes offer a fun, development‑boosting blend of movement, music and imaginative play designed to nurture confidence, coordination and early learning. Toddlers explore custom‑designed equipment — from tunnels and slides to bridges and swings — building balance, strength and problem‑solving skills in a safe, supportive environment. Each session also develops communication and social confidence through songs, group play and simple routines, helping little ones feel comfortable in new surroundings. Led by expert play leaders, these engaging toddler classes create exciting opportunities for exploration while supporting physical, cognitive and social development during a crucial stage of growth.

Music 1 (6 – 16 months)

Your little one will experience songs and sounds from around the world, building listening skills, language development and early emotional awareness through instruments, singing and movement. There’s no better time to start building a love of music.

Family Music (6 months – 5 years)

You and your little one explore different musical styles, instruments and rhythms alongside children of all ages in this mixed-age class. As well as musical development, sessions support social and emotional learning, and siblings of different ages are very much welcome.

Walkers (10 – 18 months)

As your little one finds their feet, this class gives them the space and equipment to build strength, balance and confidence through physical challenges including tunnels, slides, bridges and swings. Sing-alongs and group activities incorporate social skills and memory building along the way.

Runners (16 – 24 months)

Your toddler gets to climb, balance and navigate their way through monkey bars, giant cushions and tunnels, with a focus on learning through opposites: loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down. Parachute time, bubbles and the Gymbo Dance are firm weekly favourites too.

Art 1 (18 – 24 months)

Your little one gets to sculpt, collage, paint and explore different textures in a class that puts the process of creating ahead of any finished result. It’s a lovely space for your child to express themselves in their own way.

Music 2 (16 – 28 months)

Building on Music 1, your toddler starts to experiment with instruments, accompany songs with rhythm and act out lyrics through movement, developing gross and fine motor skills along the way. Songs and sounds from around the world keep every session varied and fun.

Family Art (18 months – 5 years)

Create colourful memories together as your family explores clay, paint, collage and more in a playful art studio. Children of different ages discover new textures, express themselves freely and build confidence while enjoying imaginative, hands‑on projects side by side.

Family Play (6 months – 5 years)

Bring your little ones together to explore a lively, mixed‑age play space where babies, toddlers and older siblings learn side by side. Imaginative play, shared activities and open‑ended equipment build confidence, creativity and social skills as families enjoy playful adventures together

Open Gym

Included in all Gymboree Play & Music memberships, your child gets free time to explore the equipment and playscapes at their pace, with you close by. It’s a wonderful chance to revisit what they’ve been working on in class and follow wherever their curiosity takes them.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.

I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well. Highly recommend this if you’re thinking about joining!! Thanks so much Sophie, Cat and the wider team :-)
