Lucy is the proud owner of Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells, this was my first Franchise before opening Kensington Gymboree Play & Music in 2020.
I originally trained as an actress and graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Performing Arts from Bath Spa University. I worked as Gymboree Play & Music teacher part time and progressed to the manager of the Cheam branch.
Following a few years away working abroad for Thomas Cook and as a children's presenter at Butlins in Bognor Regis, I always knew one day I wanted to start my own Gymboree Play & Music.
Tunbridge wells opened its doors in May 2018 and Lucy and her team are now excited to be growing the business in our present venue which opened in September 2020.
We welcome members old and new to our Gymboree Play & Music family.
Cat Joined the Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells team as a Teacher in 2019
Originally trained as a soprano singer and studied at Goldsmiths University of London, where she obtained her Batchelor of Music degree and was a choral scholar at the Old Royal Naval College Choir in Greenwich. She now teaches private Piano and Singing lessons during school term times and has previously been a Music Specialist teacher at a Nursery chain in London.
Since becoming a team member for Gymboree Play and Music Tunbridge Wells, Cat is very excited to help grow the business and one day manage her own Gymboree Play and Music venue.
Sophie joined the Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells team as a teacher in 2021 and is thrilled to be part of the Gymboree family.
Originally trained in musical theatre, Sophie has appeared in numerous plays and musicals with professional credits in London and Cornwall. Having worked as a performing arts teacher since the age of 17, she discovered a particular passion for early years development. Sophie has also worked in educational settings teaching and supporting children of all ages.
Sophie has fallen in love with Gymboree and one day hopes to open up her own Gymboree Play and Music venue.

We have been attending Gymboree sessions for a while now and our little one LOVES them. He has the freedom to explore the ever changing gym set up (always exciting) and the choice to participate within the structured sections of the classes.
The teachers are an absolute delight - thank you!
We have thoroughly enjoyed Gymboree. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Gymboree has been a huge part of supporting my child’s large and fine motor development. We look forward to our Gymboree sessions each week.
I’ve been going to Gymboree in Tunbridge Wells with my little girl since she was 5 weeks old. Cat and Sophie have been great teachers and helped me understand sensory play with my daughter as well as helping her learn so much. She is now 8 months old and has moved up to the crawlers class and she has done so well learning and thriving and i don’t think she would be as developed as she is now if i didn’t take her to Gymboree. We’ve also attended a couple of the parties that are hosted there and they’re always so much fun! It’s also great to meet other parents with babies of similar age.
We love everything about Gymboree! The staff are so nice and welcoming every class, they are great with the kids and love how it’s always something new every week so doesn’t get repetitive and they are always bringing the fun with events! My son has been going since he was 2 months old and he is now 1 and excelling in every class. It has really built his confidence and his skills and we just enjoy going every week. We also love how we can use the facilities outside of class and can all enjoy Gymboree on a weekend as a family. I couldn’t recommend Gymboree enough and it’s something I always talk about with my friends and family (which who also love weekly Gymboree updates!). Cat and Sophie are the BEST! Xx
I think Gymboree is one of the best activities I do with my daughter. We have been going for a couple of months (since she was about 10 months and could crawl) and it’s a great place for her to move, climb and expend some energy! The staff are fantastic, Sophie and Cat at the Tunbridge Wells branch are very welcoming, smiley and very good with the children. In the classes there is a new activity every 5 minutes or so; it definitely keeps the kids occupied!

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!
Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.
Absolutely amazing place! Especially Aaron from the Chiswick branch, always makes us feel very welcome there. He is extremely passionate and professional. His warmth and enthusiasm are precious. I would recommend that place to everyone! So happy we found it in our community. My son loves going there.
