Gymboree Play & Music’s pre‑schooler classes (22 months – 5 years) provide a rich foundation for early learning, offering creative, imaginative and confidence‑building experiences that prepare children for nursery and school. Through themed play, problem‑solving challenges, imaginative adventures and hands‑on activities in art, music, movement and early STEAM concepts, children develop communication, social skills and independence in a supportive setting. Custom‑designed playscapes and teacher‑led activities encourage climbing, balancing, storytelling and creative expression, helping little learners strengthen coordination, build resilience and explore new ideas. These pre‑schooler sessions nurture curiosity, creativity and school‑readiness while letting children explore, pretend and discover at their own pace.
You and your little one explore different musical styles, instruments and rhythms alongside children of all ages in this mixed-age class. As well as musical development, sessions support social and emotional learning, and siblings of different ages are very much welcome.
Building on Music 1, your toddler starts to experiment with instruments, accompany songs with rhythm and act out lyrics through movement, developing gross and fine motor skills along the way. Songs and sounds from around the world keep every session varied and fun.
Little learners dive into bigger, bolder adventures as they jump, climb and imagine their way through themed worlds like construction sites, jungles and dinosaur lands. Each playful session builds coordination, strength and confidence while nurturing creativity and curiosity in an inspiring, story‑filled environment.
Children step into confidence‑boosting adventures that inspire teamwork, imagination and growing independence. Through co‑operative games and story‑led challenges, little learners build key social and personal skills that support a smooth, positive transition into school — all within a playful, encouraging environment.
Children explore rhythm, melody and movement as they journey through music from around the world. With clapping, tapping, singing and expressive play, little ones build confidence, coordination and early musicality while discovering the joy of creating and responding to music together.
A drop-off course where your child builds, creates and problem-solves alongside their peers, developing teamwork, social skills and early STEAM thinking. Each session brings a new challenge to work through together.
Your child gets to paint, sculpt and draw across a range of materials in a class that gives them the space to experiment and express themselves in their own way. Every session offers something different to make and a new way to make it.
Building on Art 1, your child gets to sculpt, collage, paint and experiment with different mediums, as well as get creative with puppets and dramatic play. There’s plenty of room for your child to explore and let their imagination flow.
Spark curiosity with hands‑on S.T.E.A.M. adventures designed for mini‑scientists and makers. Children explore engineering, design, art and early maths through playful experiments that build problem‑solving, creativity and collaboration — all while developing school‑readiness in a supportive, sensory‑rich environment.
Your child gets to sing, dance, act and create in this drop-off class, building confidence and concentration through drama and performance. There are regular live performances too, so you get to see what they’ve been working on.
Create colourful memories together as your family explores clay, paint, collage and more in a playful art studio. Children of different ages discover new textures, express themselves freely and build confidence while enjoying imaginative, hands‑on projects side by side.
Bring your little ones together to explore a lively, mixed‑age play space where babies, toddlers and older siblings learn side by side. Imaginative play, shared activities and open‑ended equipment build confidence, creativity and social skills as families enjoy playful adventures together
Included in all Gymboree Play & Music memberships, your child gets free time to explore the equipment and playscapes at their pace, with you close by. It’s a wonderful chance to revisit what they’ve been working on in class and follow wherever their curiosity takes them.
Little learners take their first steps towards independence with playful themes, gentle separation and confidence‑building routines. Through imagination, early problem‑solving and supported social time, children develop the skills they need for preschool while discovering they can explore, learn and thrive in a safe, nurturing space.
Children build confidence and independence as they explore a playful classroom environment without their adults by their side. Through collaborative games, creative stations, early literacy, numeracy and science activities, they develop essential social and problem‑solving skills that prepare them for a happy, successful start to school.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!
Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.
I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well. Highly recommend this if you’re thinking about joining!! Thanks so much Sophie, Cat and the wider team :-)
