Gymboree Play & Music Putney
Gymboree Play & Music Putney is run by the lovely Lucy and her team. They’re re-opening the centre in January 2024 after a short break and a refresh. They’re based upstairs in Unit E on the first floor of Putney Exchange Shopping Centre. They cover a large area around and including Putney, up to Barnes, south of the river, and Parsons Green, north of the river, down to Wimbledon Common, west to Mortlake and Richmond Park, and east to East Putney and Chelsea Harbour, and everywhere in between! Gymboree Play & Music Putney offer sensory classes for babies and baby massage courses, as well as our famous Play & Learn classes for little ones who are on the move. Membership Fees
Gymboree Play & Music operates on a membership basis, where members are booked in for their chosen developmentally-appropriate, teacher-led class(es) each week. Membership fees are paid monthly by direct debit.
Taster class – £20
Standard – £80 per month unlimited open gym. Catch up classes up to one month after.
Class Only – £60 per month 1 class a week no open gym. Catch up classes up to one month after.
Unlimited – Unlimited Classes & Open Gym – £120 per month, classes to be booked in advance.
All monthly membership is minimum 3 months with one month’s notice. You can add a second class any time for £10.

Lucy
Manager
Lucy is the centre manager for GPM Putney as of January 2024. Lucy is also the owner of GPM Kensington. Lucy previously owned GPM Tunbridge Wells & has been the manager at GPM Surbiton, Cheam & Chelsea. Lucy originally trained as an actress & enjoyed a career in the entertainment industry before becoming a franchisee in 2018. Lucy is now a proud Mummy of her baby girl Gabriella and looks forward to growing the amazing branch in Putney and creating memories for all the local families in the area.

Teacher
Our teacher Dan is a qualified school teacher & has also worked in early years settings. Dan was ready for a career change so has joined us at GPM Putney. Dan is also a guitar player, teacher & keen compare. He looks forward to seeing you on the Play Floor.

We are based in the Putney Exchange shopping centre. Find us on the first floor, with lift and escalator access. We are surrounded by supermarkets, toy shops, bookstores, and cafes to make the most of your visit.
How to get here:
- Car: The Putney Exchange shopping centre has a large indoor car park with hourly and daily parking rates. To reach the car park on Lacy Road, off the Putney High Street use Sat Nav reference: SW15 1NH
- Train: Putney Train Station is just a 5 minutes walk away, turn right as you exit and follow the high street
- Tube: We are approx. a 15 minutes walk from East Putney and Putney Bridge stations which are on the District line
- Bus: Putney is served by many bus routes. Here are a few useful ones – 22, 14, 74, 37, 337, 270, 220, 93, 39, 85, 265, 424, 430, & 485

We attend the runners class. The classes are good but sadly it seems to have lost its way recently. All the staff have changed and it seems to be they’re going through the motions and the classes seem crowded. I hope this changes as it’s a great place.

Hi, I like the Gymboree classes a lot. However, I think it is too expensive and am in fact thinking of cancelling my membership due to the recent price hike. Also, at the Putney location I don't like that there are no classes offered on Saturday. The open gym sessions are also very limited and often at around 12 which is either lunch time or nap time. I'd be a bit happier with the price if I could at least make one open gym session a week - as it stands I go once a week to my normal class and it doesn't seem worth the price. When I first joined 4 years ago there was an unlimited membership that was cheaper than what I'm paying now, and seeing the significant price increase while taking away classes and class options has been very annoying.

Price increase 2024
Price increase:
We have increased our prices to £80pm from £70pm for our monthly membership. This is to enable us to continue to operate in our beautiful venue.
With this increase we have given you your first class for free, removed any joining fees & added an extra Open Gym each day, plus we have opened on Saturday mornings for you too! 🤗🌞
We acknowledge this is a tough time financially for us all and we hope under the new management with a full timetable, weekend options & great Open Gym times you will see that Gymboree Play & Music Putney is fantastic value for money! You can come to use our facilities every day between Monday and Saturday!
Pay as you go / Fun Pass
We have received a few questions on PAYG classes - this is not something that will be available moving forward as we just cannot survive as a business in that way, and we want to be available for our families for years to come.
Open Gym
Open Gym is for members only each session is 45min long, you will receive your own log in for our portal we ask you to book as you go :)

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!
Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.
I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well. Highly recommend this if you’re thinking about joining!! Thanks so much Sophie, Cat and the wider team :-)
