Gymboree Play & Music Putney
Gymboree Play & Music Putney is run by the lovely Maddison and Akeela. They’re based upstairs in Unit E on the first floor of Putney Exchange Shopping Centre. They cover a large area around and including Putney, up to Barnes, south of the river, and Parsons Green, north of the river, down to Wimbledon Common, west to Mortlake and Richmond Park, and east to East Putney and Chelsea Harbour, and everywhere in between! Gymboree Play & Music Putney offer sensory classes for babies, as well as our famous Play & Learn classes for little ones who are on the move. Gymboree Play & Music’s classes are offered as a monthly membership paid by direct debit, where members attend developmentally-appropriate teacher-led classes, have access to Open Gym sessions, and other member benefits and discounts!

Manager
Maddison is the Centre Manager for GPM Putney as of March 2025. Maddison has a degree in Music Performance and Industry and has worked with children for 3 years including leading music classes in nurseries. Maddison is passionate about her music career and performs regularly around London with her band. She cannot wait to bring her love for music and her enthusiastic personality to the Gymboree Play & Music playfloor!

Teacher
Akeela comes from a hairdressing background and has a Level 2 Distinction in Musical Theatre, and was a Young Ambassador at Youth Club. She is very excited to start as a teacher at Gymboree Play & Music and can't wait to teach your classes!

We have re opened our doors!
We are based in the Putney Exchange shopping centre. Find us on the first floor, with lift and escalator access. We are surrounded by supermarkets, toy shops, bookstores, and cafes to make the most of your visit.
How to get here:
- Car: The Putney Exchange shopping centre has a large indoor car park with hourly and daily parking rates. To reach the car park on Lacy Road, off the Putney High Street use Sat Nav reference: SW15 1NH
- Train: Putney Train Station is just a 5 minutes walk away, turn right as you exit and follow the high street
- Tube: We are approx. a 15 minutes walk from East Putney and Putney Bridge stations which are on the District line
- Bus: Putney is served by many bus routes. Here are a few useful ones – 22, 14, 74, 37, 337, 270, 220, 93, 39, 85, 265, 424, 430, & 485

My son had his 3rd birthday with you on the 31st Jan and absolutely loved it. All the guests were praising the venue and Maddie was a wonderful host. She couldn't do enough for us and the kids loved the log activity and the parachute.
The only bit of critical feedback was our son managed to escape out of the front door after most of the guests had left as it wasn't shit properly by the last guest. We luckily noticed him leaving and managed to catch up with him before he got to the main road but we wondered if I self shutting/locking door might be more suitable for a small venue hosting quite young children.
APart from that, everything was great! Thank you for making it special!

Well managed, well resourced play space for children to explore and learn safely. Sessions are thoughtfully organised at a developmentally appropriate level. Most importantly, my daughter absolutely loves going to Gymboree!

We absolutely love Gymboree! My 9-month-old love the cheerful environment and fun equipment in Gymbo. He has so many opportunities to explore and crawl safely in there, and I can see his confidence growing each week when standing up and trying to walk. The songs, bubbles, and playful activities always keep him engaged. Maddie has been so patient with us and she is amazing during the music classes! My baby loves listening to her playing the guitar!
Gymboree has quickly become one of our favorite parts of the week. Highly recommend to any parent with an active baby!

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!
Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.
I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well. Highly recommend this if you’re thinking about joining!! Thanks so much Sophie, Cat and the wider team :-)
