  • Nicole

Nicole always knew she wanted to work with Children so after gaining her diploma in Musical Theatre she started her search for her dream job – a place where she could sing and have fun while growing young minds! Her search didn’t take long because she found Gymboree Classes and fell in love with the ethos, principles and foundations of what Gymboree Classes offer. Nicole bought her franchise in 2012 and Gymboree Play and Music Edinburgh opened its doors in March 2013. Since then Nicole has had the pleasure to be part of hundreds of little people’s lives and takes great pride in getting to know each child and their families personally. Nicole is now also a fully qualified IAIM infant massage instructor and has trained in Makaton Signing for babies.

  • Laura

Play and Music teacher and Site Manager

Laura is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher who joined the Gymboree Play and Music team in 2017 after the birth of her second child. Laura has a strong love for the Edinburgh site as she is Nicole’s older sister and therefore has been a helping hand since the very beginning. Laura’s eldest child attended classes from 1 week old until her 5th birthday so Laura has an understanding of classes from both a parent and a teachers’ perspective. Laura qualified as a IAIM infant massage instructor in 2019 and says she loves everything about her job, but she especially loves seeing so many smiling faces every day when she comes to work.

  • Heather

    Head Teacher and Site Supervisor

Heather has been part of the team since 2018 and is loved by all the members and their children. Heather is trained in acting and performing and these skills are evident in each and every one of her classes as she takes little one’s on some incredible imaginative adventures. Heather loves getting to know all our families and loves that she has found a place where she can help to grow the minds of so many little people while doing something she really enjoys.

The whole concept of Gymboree is first class. Nicole and her team in Edinburgh create such a welcome and friendly environment for all members. My sons development in every way has benefited from our weekly classes since he was 8 months old now almost 4. His younger brothers also attend and love the Gymbo fun just as much. As a mum of 3 I have made some great friends in both members and staff and always feel the centre is a safe environment for advice, support and rest-bite on a tuff day! We love it and can’t recommend highly enough!

We've been going to Gymboree Edinburgh since January. Even when I feel too tired I push myself to go because Olivia loves the class so much. Heather and Nicole are brilliant. We trialed other baby sensory classes and Gymboree was the best.

We had a wonderful experience with owner and manager Nicole. Not only does she have an angelica l voice, her baby classes also hit the right balance between guided play and baby led exploration. She also took genuine interest in what was going on with babies at any given point and made great suggestions without imposing opinion. Four stars instead of five because our experience wasn't as good with other group leaders. Singing voice not as good, interaction with babies was too loud and hectic and overall atmosphere just not as good. The location as such is really nice - we might return when our wee one is a bit older.

Great age appropriate classes and amazing staff. The staff make such an effort to get to know each individual child. I love that the children are free to explore the equipment and directed to specific tasks. Having a focus for a few week is great for developing their skills in lots of different areas. I also love the structure of the class and having certain things the little ones do every week. My little girl always looks forward to a freeze on the airlog and getting her bubbles.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.

Absolutely amazing place! Especially Aaron from the Chiswick branch, always makes us feel very welcome there. He is extremely passionate and professional. His warmth and enthusiasm are precious. I would recommend that place to everyone! So happy we found it in our community. My son loves going there.
