British Science Week 2026
It’s British Science Week 2026 from 6 – 15 March, celebrating everything STEM – science, technology, engineering and maths! The theme this year is ‘Curiosity: what’s your question? and it’s all about encouraging people to embrace their passions, find the answers to their most burning STEM questions.
For children, curiosity is in abundance. They’re making new discoveries every day, every moment – encouraging this fascination with the world is vital and there are so many ways to do it.
Getting them thinking about questions they’d love to explore the answers to, and how to do it, is what British Science Week 2026 is all about.
We love a bit of STEM at Gymboree Play & Music, inspiring young makers and thinkers in our classes for ages 3 to 5:
- Play Lab – a multi-disciplinary class designed to introduce your child to engineering, design, art, and maths.
- Explorers Advanced – lots of co-operative games and imaginary adventures designed to build self confidence and promote the important personal and social skills needed for a successful transition into school.
- School Skills – children will learn to collaborate and negotiate with their peers, and learn ways to communicate and play together.
- Lego – this course will encourage an early love for science, technology, engineering, art and maths, fostering a natural curiosity for how things work.
Discover lots of fun science activities for your little ones in this Activity Pack, including a competition to create a poster!
