Gymboree Play & Music Conference: Bringing New Ideas Home from Las Vegas

September was a very special month for the Gymboree Play & Music UK team. Arleta, Jennie and Rachel travelled to Las Vegas for the annual Gymboree Play & Music Conference. They joined Gymbo teams from around the world. The week was full of learning, sharing and celebration.

Celebrating 50 Years of Gymboree Play & Music

This year’s conference marked a huge milestone. Gymboree Play & Music turned 50!

It was wonderful to celebrate five decades of helping children learn and grow through play. The event gave everyone a chance to reflect on the journey so far. It also created excitement for the future.

Seeing so many passionate Gymboree Play & Music people together made the celebration even more special.

Fresh Ideas for Our Classes

One of the highlights was meeting with programme experts from the US.

They shared new class ideas and activity concepts. They also talked about the latest developments in early childhood play and learning.

The sessions gave us lots of inspiration. We came away with fresh ideas for our UK centres. Many of those ideas are already shaping future plans.

Our goal is always the same. We want every child and grown-up to have a fun, engaging and memorable experience.

Connecting with the Global Gymbo Family

The conference also gave us time to connect with other Gymboree Play & Music teams.

We shared stories, swapped ideas and learned from one another. It was inspiring to hear how centres in different countries support local families.

Even though every community is different, our values are the same. We all believe in the power of play.

We also found a few hours to head to The Strip, benefit from some retail therapy, and see a show!

Looking Ahead

Arleta, Jennie and Rachel returned home feeling inspired and energised.

They brought back new ideas, fresh perspectives and plenty of enthusiasm. Most importantly, they returned even more excited about supporting the families who visit Gymboree Play & Music each week.

We can’t wait to share some of that inspiration with you.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Cannot recommend Gymboree Play & Music Watford enough--truly THE BEST! ❤️🙌 What makes it so special are the amazing teachers/staff, especially Amber, Jack, Philippa, and Hannah! They’re not only incredibly talented in music and arts, but they’re also absolutely fantastic with kids of all ages.

My little girl was only 18 months old when we first discovered this wonderful place and started attending sessions. She’s now 5 years old, and we’re still here! That says it all 🥰

I genuinely believe that so many of my daughter’s milestones have been reached early because of the time she spends here. She was talking, walking, climbing, and exploring ahead of her peers, and I credit so much of that to the incredible environment and activities here. The space itself is wonderful — safe, clean, and full of opportunities for little ones to run, jump, climb, and burn off energy without any worries. But for me, Gymboree has been just as important as it has been for my daughter, especially as a mum without a village. ...What I didn’t realise was how much I would gain. I’ve made lifelong friendships and found a support network of the most incredible people.
