Gymboree Play & Music Bearsden & Milngavie is run by the fantastic Lisa and her team. They’re based between Main St and Stewart st, in the alley by the car park. They cover a large area around North West Glasgow, up to Milngavie, down to Kelvingrove and Anderston, and west to Drumry, Knightswood, and Drumchapel, and everywhere in between! Gymboree Play & Music Bearsden & Milngavie offer Baby Massage, sensory classes for babies, as well as our famous Play & Learn classes for little ones who are on the move. Membership
Gymboree Play & Music’s classes are offered as a membership, where members are booked in for a developmentally-appropriate teacher-led class every week. Members can also enjoy unlimited access to Open Gym sessions throughout the week, spaces permitting. You can make as many changes as you like through our new Members’ Portal booking system giving the complete flexibility that busy parents need. Members in Babies and Crawlers also get 1 free Music class every week! Membership fees are paid monthly by direct debit.

Lisa has been operating and managing Gymboree Play & Music Bearsden and Milngavie since 2014, running wonderful classes for 0-5yrs. An expert in early childhood education. Lisa is trained in Baby Massage, Makaton, early childhood dance education and pre-school Gymnastics.

“Carol trained in acting and performance and has worked for theatre companies touring shows round schools and would spend every Christmas performing in pantomimes. She loves working with children and began her Gymboree journey back in 2016 with her daughter before joining the Gymboree team as a teacher in 2019!” Carol has a huge amount of experience and is a proud mummy of 2 gorgeous girls!!

Clare has graduated with a Bmus from the University of Glasgow where she has also studied the majority of her vocal training. Clare loves to perform and started her own local choir. She is also passionate about the role of music therapy, especially in early child development, and has experience working in primary education that is specialised for those with complex learning needs. Clare is thrilled to be working in Gymboree and experience firsthand the importance and difference music can make in early years education.

Claire is a trained pianist and vocalist, with an MA in songwriting from the Irish world Academy of Music and Dance, UL, and a BMus from University College Cork. She has almost 10 years teaching experience, mostly in her native Cork, Ireland. She is also an experienced performer, and sings her original songs under her own name, across Ireland and the UK. Claire loves that Gymboree offers families the gift of introducing their babies and young children to the joy of music. As well as that, she says it is a joy as a singer to come in each day and use her voice in such a positive, playful environment.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!
Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.
I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well. Highly recommend this if you’re thinking about joining!! Thanks so much Sophie, Cat and the wider team :-)
