We’re going on a Bear Hunt! We’re going to catch a big one! A 40-piece orchestra performs the music for We’re Going on a Bear Hunt live alongside the animated film. And Gymboree Play & Music families can get 10% off!

The award-winning animated film We’re Going on a Bear Hunt follows the intrepid adventures of siblings Stan, Katie, Rosie, Max, the baby and their pet dog Rufus, who decide one day to go on an adventure through the countryside in search of bears. The animation and music bring to life the irresistible story and beautiful artwork of Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s bedtime favourite, which has enchanted new family audiences with its story of perseverance, optimism and a love of nature since its Channel 4 TV premiere on Christmas Eve 2016. picture of orchestra

Now experience it on the big screen with the thrill of a live symphony orchestra! Composer Stuart Hancock will conduct an orchestra comprised of the Band of the Welsh Guards and the Countess of Wessex’s String Orchestra – who recently performed so magnificently alongside all the stars at the Platinum Jubilee Party at the Palace.

The family show will include a fun guide to the musicians in the orchestra and the tunes in the music score to listen out for, as well as singalongs to George Ezra’s charming title song Me and You.

All profits from the performances will benefit the Royal British Legion, providing financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependents.

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.

I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well.
